Kisiao in Penang

Hello! finally get back to my own lil space after months. So sorry, was really busy or lazy before this.
yeah as the title said, I'm gonna write about how kisiaos invaded the Penang island. The trip was like one month ago, nah only have the time to tell the story now.

Day One // 28 June

Early in the morning, very very early I think I woke up at 5+ ? We met up at KLCC for breakfast, cause we needa board our bus at that area, forgot what's the name of boarding place. The bus we took was superb, Aeroline bus if not mistaken. Food, TV, blanket, headphones were provided on the bus, it's very comfortable especially for us who's travelling a long journey. Choo choo, it took us five hours all the way from KL to Penang. Once we reached, Seling's mother's friends picked us up at the bus station and took us to lunchieee! hoho the food trip had officially started *evil smile*

Uncle & Aunty ordered so many food, and we were so hungry like we had been starving for days, that I forgot to take photos of all those food. After filling up our stomach we headed to our apartment which is located at Batu Feringgi. We spent the whole evening playing cards in our house, laughing and laughing and laughing like there's no tomorrow. I just love evening like this, chilling at the living room, doing nothing but chit-chatting with that bunch of favourite humans in your life.
After hours of poker cards sessions haha, we went to The Ship Restaurant for dinner! Hmm it's not very very nice like I expected, just normal western food you know. we walked around the night market near the restaurant after dinner and then back to our house again.

So we continued our chit-chatting session in the living room, haha. Spot what Wanting was doing in the photo above? Haha she's taking photo of her new ring, gifted by our King XD

Tadaaa! All of us had gotten our ultimate rings hahaha, and this photo was really an epic fail.
What's next? Goodnight lah !

Day Two // 29 June

Rise and shine second day of the trip! We woke early becauseeee, we're going Bukit Bendera! Had only been to Penang Hill once in my lifetime and it's like during my primary school? It changed a lot like totally different with those remaining memories in my brain.
Oh ya, and I had this Penang harmee as breakfast before going to Penang Hill. I dont know why, I just feel every food stalls in Penang no matter it is famous or not, the food is nicer than anywhere lol.

We were really lucky tho cause there's so few people, actually no people was waiting for the train, so we're the first batch to board the train or cable car or whatever. And the ticket price was soo cheap, Jingyi even said, " can we come again at night since the ticket is so cheap. " HAHA

We actually did nothing on Penang hill, can I say there's nothing for us to do except taking photos haha. So yeah, non stop taking photos like how we used to be.

Photos taken @ Staircase in front of UNMC Trent Building
Photos taken @ Staircase at Penang Hill

you must be wondering why the hell you girls wanna take photo with staircase? That's not a symbolic thing at Penang hill. okay the reason is, staircase is life hahahaha! Just wanna take the same kind of photo we took in front of UNMC's trent building. We even stood at the same position as in the previous photo #kisiaonessoverloads

Loving this owl shape swing :)
Photos taken @ Love Bridge Penang Hill

It's so true to say that every photo of us taking together will look like a family portrait haha!

After getting down from Penang Hill, we went hunting for foooooooood. For the whole morning, we went few places just to eat. literally pig's life haha!

That very famous Asam Laksa!

That very famous cendol & rojak!
The route of the day was : Penang Hill > Asam Laksa > Penang road Cendol > Balik pulau durian > Gurney Drive

And thennn, we spent the whole afternoon shopping in Gurney Plaza. Haahhaha I know this sounds really funny, we went Penang to shop Cotton On, H&M and etc. You know, girls being girls. Although we spent half an hour standing at the cinema's ticket counter, deciding which movie to watch, and at last we ended up deciding whether to watch movie or bowling or karaoke or shopping. Still, ended up shopping. for hours. And I finally had my favourite muajee! yumz yumz, muajee lover put your hands in the air ! And the best part of the day was, back to our house and had Shin Ramen instant cup nooodles ;)

Day Three // 30 June

Third day was the most extreme and most exhausting day, I swear. we left our apartment and moved into a five star hotel, guess where. Yeshhhhh! Lone Pine Hotel! Wooohooo how exciting it was to be able stay in this hotel. We left our luggage at the hotel reception, and we were off to something adventurous in town >>> Escape Theme Park.
While on the way to Escape, we stopped at this beautiful beach, okay not really beautiful but, yeah quite beautiful. Beach Miami.

And again, that staircase photo HAHA

We purposely wore the same shirt, to represent the University of Nottingham, to escape from the jungle, nahh just saying.

I actually felt kind of nervous at first, haha, I have height phobia I thought. but maybe it's better nowadays, and flying fox is really an amazing invention haha. "I believe I can fly ~ " There's lots of activities in Escape Theme Park, which I think worth the ticket. You can spend all day in there, but the problem is, do you have that energy to stay that long ? haha. There are Monkey Business, flying fox and more, please log on to Escape theme park official website to get more details.

Billion claps for each and everyone of us, we did it, although feeling fear at the beginning but we conquered the fear at last. Bravo *fist bump*
We headed back to our hotel to have shower at around 2pm. Yah btw, remember to apply sunblock before going to Escape Theme Park. I didnt so I was actually enjoying the very scorching sun for hours that I got sun burnt in the end.

Yesh after few hours of extreme activities, finally time to fill up our empty stomachhh, we were freaking hungry tho after using up so much energy. We had our lunch at Yen Keng Restaurant. The restaurant has really classic interior design, cool furniture and nice food. Love their colour combinations of the wall and seats.

So we went to Straits Quay after having lunch. Straits Quay is a shopping mall, but it looks very different from those usual shopping malls. I mean, its design. The architecture of the building itself is more to British, you'll feel like you're not in Msia while walking around this place, cause I felt that haha. There's one jetty behind the shopping mall, is it called jetty? I dont know, but there's lots of yachts parking over here.

It's very peaceful here, and the extremely good weather makes it the best spot for taking photos and selfies. I bet you know what happened next huh?

The Cotton On bitches ;)

See how a bunch of Kisiaos tried so hard to take a candid shot. Purposely talked nonsense to make ourselves look like we're actually talking and didnt know the camera is shooting. Yeay but failed haha. We look so fake and so not natural in the picture lol.

We were actually waiting for Uncle & Aunty to pick us up for dinner, we had lots of lots of time to take pictures and stroll and chill at Straits Quay. We went to a roadside hawker centre for dinner, I could still recall our tables were actually fulled with various types of food. Pork satay, curry mee, asam laksa, ice kacang, char kuew teow, and etc etc. #penangthefoodparadise
Uncle and aunty brought us to a cafe afterwards, forgot the name already, Mews cafe or something something. And thennnn, we went to Uncle's house haha, for karaoke session but failed haha. and ended up watching TV and snookering haha!
Back to hotel, showered and slept away our last night in Penang with sweet smiles :)

Day Four // 1 July

Here it comes the last day of the trip, *sobs sobs* Had a really satisfying breakfast buffet at our hotel and we checked out, awwww heartbreaking moment :(
We headed to Penang Street Arts afterwards. We rented bicycles, and we cycled under the super scorching sun, yeay I felt like my skin was melting. We went to that-very-famous Chew Jetty and also my surname > Lim Jetty. Hmmm but there's nothing special tho.
So we went to a few murals that are quite famous. Especially the bicycle sister and brother haha.

After exposing to the sun for quite some times, we decided to go 3D Art Museum for its air-con. Nah just kidding haha! We really wanted to visit the museum kay. And that's our last station in Penang. Noooooh *cries*
Sincerely feel grateful to have you bunch of kisiaos in my life, how's life without you. What I wish to say is, the two nights that we sat in the living room, chit-chatting about everything, were the best kind of night ever. How nice if we could stay in one house together haha! Every night no need to sleep lol. Thank you Capt for making this trip happen, planning schedules and stuffs, just love how we exist like this :)
And also thousands of thank you to Uncle & Aunty that are so generous and willing to help!
it still feels like it's yesterday only while writing this post wey. So happy and joyful hoho :D

With unforgettable memories, we got up to the return bus, putting an full stop to our Kisiao trip.
Looking forward to our next trip! Taiwan maybe? See ya!
